Three Peaks Training (The Lakes)
As Scafell Pike is normally attempted in the dark during the Challenge we offer you the option of climbing in daylight or darkness. On day two we offer a full day's navigation training. This takes the form of a "walk and talk" session in the area of the Scafell Massif. Maps and compasses are provided. A perfect opportunity to pick an expert's brains!

Itinerary
Duration: 2 days
Saturday - Either: Daylight option - 9 am to 2 pm - Climb the Challenge route to the summit in the company of a member of the Mountain and Glen team.
Or: Night-time option - 10pm to 4am (approx) - Ascend/descend the mountain in the dark, simulating actual challenge conditions.
Sunday - 10am - 3pm - A full day's navigation training with a qualified Mountain Leader in the Wasdale area. Learn or refresh your skills with the opportunity to discuss strategies for the day of the race!

If you don't want to book both days, single days are available at half price. Choose either day's format to suit your needs.
You don't have to be booked on one of our Three Peaks Challenge adventures to participate in our training! We regularly provide training and advice to teams attempting the Challenge independently. We can even tailor the format to your own requirements. Contact us for info.
