Itinerary

Duration: 3 days

Friday Evening - Meet at base camp. Evening meal and full safety brief. Discuss the event with your Mountain Leader

Day One - Teams will be transported to the start at Pen y Pass, before ascending the Pyg Track to the summit of Snowdon. The route then takes in Garnedd Ugain before heading towards Clogwyn Station on the Snowdon Railway and down Cwm Hetiau to the village of Nant Peris. With the Snowdon Massif under your belt you will cross the A4086 where the Glyderau await you!

Elidir Fawr is the first challenge before contouring around Bwlch Y Brecan to Y Garn. The route then takes you past Lyn y Cwn to the summit of Glyder Fawr, then Glyder Fach before heading towards the final summit of the day, the mighty Tryfan! A challenging descent takes you down to the road where transport will be waiting to take you back to base camp where a hot shower and food await! Teams will overnight here under canvas.

Day Two - After an early breakfast transport will take you to the base of Pen Yr Ole Wen, the start of the Carneddau range!

From the summit of the 978m pen Yr Ole Wen, teams will head over to Carnedd Dafydd, Yr Elen and Carnedd Llewelyn. Spectacular views lead us to Foel Grach then Garnedd Uchaf and finally Foel Fras. Dropping down from the ridge here, your route will take you back to Aber, where your transport awaits!
